Hello
Hi, I am Pat Soltys.
I am a business consultant and the owner of Soltys, Inc., a business development consultancy. You will find quite a bit about the professional side of my life in my bio.
Part of getting to know people means going beyond the business exterior. This page is dedicated to just that.
Family is the center of my universe. My husband, Mark Soltys and I have two children and raised four others so that during their teenage years, there were six in high school and then six in college at once. They are all now grown and doing very well each contributing taxpayers and citizens.
As Mark has always been an innovator in the technology world working with primarily SAP ERP systems, my involvement in technology and ERP systems was necessary. We have had the pleasure of working together in several companies including Soltys, Inc.
A lot of our social life involves friends and activities at Smoke Rise Country Club. There, I enjoy playing golf, dinners, Blue Moon events, bridge and bunko as well as simply being with friends.
We also host several events at our home each year including our holiday open house which usually attracts quite a crowd. There are numerous Christmas trees (last year 26) which are a feature of the event. All of the indoor trees are individually decorated with collected ornaments and trimmings. Yes, I do all the decorating.
As I enjoy cooking and trying out new concoctions, there are also a number of smaller dinners at our home each year. The kids who are often in distant places are always asking about recipes so I created and maintain an on line cookbook for family and friends.
The cookbook site is one of about sixty that I have created and maintain including one for our neighborhood. This work is more of a hobby, never engaged as a business activity.
My love of gardening is not only the serenity it brings but also the sincere appreciation of the beauty of the gardens as they grow and bloom each year.
There is quite a bit of research, identifying, collecting and cataloging photos, histories, stories and lineages as I build the family genealogy, a legacy to be passed on in the family.
I am avid reader and book collector and also a music collector being an appreciative listener, not able to play or sing. Other collections include Crystal, Christmas ornaments and figures.
All in all, I keep very busy.
